Purebred Red Devon Bull *SOLD*

Purebred Red Devon Bull FOR SALE

This handsome fella is still looking for a new home. He’s a purebred, 4y/o, Red Devon Bull. Very friendly and mild tempered with people but a good protector of herd. Herd sire for our grass-fed only herd. Our farm is non-certified organic, no grain, no chemicals on fields, etc. We are looking for a new Devon bull to replace him as his offspring are now in our breeding herd. He has good confirmation for grazing genetics. We do not want him being sold for beef, he’s too great of a bull for that!

Call Hillcrest Farm for more information!

Drum roll please…We, at Hillcrest Farm, have now entered into the blog-world. I, (Caitlyn) am quite excited for our future. We’re in the planning stage here, while the weather turns cold. But more on that later.

So what is Hillcrest Farm? We are a small, family run, farm; located in the Finger Lakes area of NY. We started as a hobby farm in the North Country of NY, with just two grade cows. Within a couple of years we bought our first Devon cow, calf pair. When we moved a couple of years later, to where we are now, we expanded into chickens (broilers and layers), bought our first herding dog, expanded the garden, and started selling food! We believe in making the food you eat, the best for you that we can. This is beyond organic, this is food that nourishes. We use a products called Azomite and Sea Kelp that we feed to our animals and plants to fill them with minerals and nutrients. We do not use GMO -anything! We use heirloom plants in the garden, and feed organic feed to our chickens. We do not spray chemicals or pesticides. We do spray fish oil, as a natural fertilizer. (Sounds weird but the plants LOVE it.) And there is so much more to our farm now, and what we hope to do in the future, which we will be talking to you about in later posts.

We’re planning on posting once a week, though in the crazy busy seasons every-other week might happen. 🙂

Thank you to all of our friends, customers, and fellow farmers/ranchers who have supported our farm growing into what it is now-and what it will be! We couldn’t do it without you. And most of all we’re so thankful for the blessings the God has poured out on us, as a family and farm.
